Once upon a time, from 1998 until 2012 I owned and operated an L.L.C. wherein I was the sole proprietor of a graphic and web design biz. I pretty much watched the internet grow up to the wild and woolly beast it's become as of these AI ridden times.
When I started out I not only started out with Adobe software, but also what's called in the print industry, Quark Express. I was also Proofing and Pre-Flighting print jobs (orders) at a local printer along with Black Dot printing i Chicago and some others. So for that gig Quark was needed and expected.
I change my graphic design side of the biz over to IT and just Website Setup and Design consulting. Spinning up servers, full-stacking some, and dev opping.
I've always been doing art since I was seven. My father was an artist and taught me figure, anatomy, and landscape painting at that age. Always been an artist. Just always always needed a day job to pay bills, eat. and buy art supplies. One other thing; from way back then in 1998 up until today I've always had one version update or another of Photoshop. That's.....27 years.
Now I just use it and some other tools to do Fine Art Stuff. I'm not so hot creating brushes and actions and plugins and the like. I do use the hell out of them at times. All of you folks that are keeping this site's shelves stocked with brushes impress the F*%*# out of me. Back about a decade you couldn't really find any well define brushes.
